<p>Being a former student of PIBM, my experience says yes, you can definitely get admission at PIBM with 78 percentile in CAT. One thing keep in mind is that PIBM does not rely only on CAT percentile – they also accept scores from XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, and they even have their own aptitude process called PMAT.</p><p>The selection process at PIBM is more profile-oriented than just cutoff-driven. Let's say my example, as far as I remember, during my admission, the evaluation was done on multiple parameters, like these:</p><ul><li>Entrance exam score (CAT/other exams)</li><li>Academic background</li><li>PIBM aptitude test &amp; group discussion</li><li>Personal Interview (PI)</li></ul><p>When I joined, I had a percentile around 75 and still got through because I performed well in their GD-PI round (Group Discussion &amp; Personal Interview) and showed clarity in my career goals.</p><p>PIBM focuses more on overall potential and skills, not just exam scores. If you are serious about pursuing an MBA/PGDM here, prepare well for GD &amp; PI, be able to highlight your strengths, and you should have a good chance.</p><p>Also, placements are solid if you're ready to put in effort – top companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, and PwC visit the campus.
