Hi Ishwar, Economics teachers train students in a wide range of economic and financial subjects, such as markets, supply, demand, profit and competition. Becoming an economics teacher normally entails completing MA in Economics and pursue B.Ed. A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Education(B.Ed)provided: (i) The candidates who have undergone 10+2+3(15) or 11+1+3(15) pattern of study and passed the X and Xll examinations conducted by the respective state board or CBSE or any other recognized board of education/Examination and UG Degree examination of the UGC approved universities in any one of the school subjects offered by the directorate of school education at the secondary or higher secondary education level. If you are interested in teaching jobs in government sector, there are several state governments which offer a very low salary range to the teachers. While to get central teacher job, you have to clear CTET exam. You can also pursue a career as Lectureship as well. You can appear for National Eligibility Test since by completing post graduation. Your subject for NET exam would be management.
