    Hi Nivedita,
Nothing is impossible, in my point of view, you should study class 12th book of account and prepare your account base, and it will help in B.Com. Do not worry and study hard. All the best.

Rather than changing the stream, the smart move would be to enroll into BBA course, where you can learn the basics of Management Accounting and then specialize in MBA (Finance). Doon Business School, Dehradun offers one of the best BBA+MBA (Finance) in the country. Admissions are still on process now. I am a student here. Do contact me for further queries if any.

If you are sure of changing the branch, study the subjects of class 11th and class 12th. If you have any problem consult someone to guide you. All you need is hard work. If you do that, it will not be hard for you. All the best.

    Hi,
There is absolutely no need to worry. You need to be happy that you have the guts to bring a drastic change in your educational track which most people resist to do. It's okay to be different. It is true that you will face a little trouble adjusting into new curriculum any learning new concepts but there are ways to sort that out. You can take helps of coaching centers, watch online videos, and make good friends who will support you.

    Hi,
Yes, you can. It is common now a days, students change their stream from class 12th to UG course. You have to be very determined and little more hardworking in order to keep your pace with the rest of students, because they are already aware of their course unlike you.

Are you from science stream? If you are from science stream, you can take admission for B.Com after 12 Science. It's not too difficult to change stream from science to commerce.

A gap of 1 to 2 years after 12th can be considered normal. Although the students should be able to address it via the valid documents. The reasons like health, finance, skill development or family are accepted.

And if the gap after the high school Diploma is beyond 2 years, strong documentation is required to justify the same. The documents like which shows productivity for which an SOP can serve great purposes.

Yes, it should not be hard for you to get admission to the University of Western Australia as an Indian student with 50% in class 12th. However, please note that it does not put you in the top applicants either. The general admission percentage requirement for international students is 50 to 65%.

Look at the other admission requirements -

  • English proficiency tests with IELTS (bands 6.5) or TOEFL iBT (82+)
  • High school Diploma from a recognised board like CBSE or ICSE etc.
  • Some course-specific subjects for Engineering programs

Top universities require a minimum of 80-90% in your 12th-grade board exams.

  • Average universities often accept students with 60-75%.
  • For highly competitive courses like Medicine, cut off is usually higher.
  • Strong SAT/ACT scores can also compensate for a slightly lower board percentage.

Countries like Germany and Norway are excellent options. Because public universities there charge little to no tuition fees.  The cost of living and education is significantly lower compared to the USA or UK. You must factor in living expenses and language requirements.
