You have not mentioned your subjects of graduation and post graduation levels. If it is education, then you can do Ph.D. in education. But, if your subject is philosophy, you are bound to do your doctorate degree in philosophy only. My suggestion is that you can take educational philosophy as your doctoral programme. You can also try to find job in schools as M.Ed is a very good option to secure a job there. All the best.

To pursue a Ph.D. course in Education, candidates should have Bachelor's degree in Education from recognised university. Also, Masters in Biology/Pharmacy and Education or the relevant stream with aggregate of 55% marks and also with valid Ph.D. entrance test along with the interview. For admission to the Ph.D. programme in Education department, minimum requirements are: B.Tech / M.Tech in any branch of Engineering/ Bio Technology and Interdisciplinary areas B.Tech / M.Tech or equivalent degree in Education.
