I want to know copyright and patents or industrial experience of LPU faculty esp MBA programme faculty.

Hi there, LPU is receiving regular funds on research projects in various disciplines like engineering, biotechnology, health care, agriculture, management etc. Recently, two ERASMUS projects, one on green economy and other on women entrepreneurship have been awarded to LPU by European Union. RESEARCH COLLABORATIONS Executing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with research institutes/universities and industries for the purpose of joint research, student and faculty exchange, joint seminars and conferences. LPU is working in one of the projects in consortium entitled Enhancing Green economy in 3 countries of Asia jointly with 15 institutes across the globe including Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg (OVGU), Germany, WMU GmbH, Germany, University College of Southeast Norway, Baltic International Academy, BIA, Latvia etc. Funded by European Union under ERASMUS programme. LPU has become a research driven university that encourages innovation in every field and has been recognised worldwide. # Innovative research carried out in LPU has resulted in 168 granted and 400+ filed IPR in the last five years. (IPR refers to patents, copyrights and design registrations) # 9000+ research papers in the last 5 years # 20000+ book chapters written by faculty and students in the last 5 years # 400+ research collaborations # University H-index 42 # External grants received 78.98 crores. # Conferences 8 to 10 conferences are held annually leading to research collaboration. Hello, Universities and Institutes are considered to be the most important foundation for growth of any country. It is the place where most of the basic ideas lead to researches and converted into inventions. Meanwhile, the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) gives a way to inventors to protect their invention from others and spread their idea worldwide. IPR helps in eventually converting an inventors idea into a new start-up. India's first ICAR accredited private university Lovely Professional University (LPU) emerged as top patent filer in the year 2019. LPU has been focusing its research and development unit towards building socially inclined projects. As a result, LPU filed the highest number of patents in year 2019 amongst India's top Institutes and Universities. It is converging its research focus to some really trending topics such as projects in Pharmaceutical, Medical Technology, Computer Technology, IOT, Environment Technology (to name a few). LPU set a new record of filing 361 patents in year 2019 as a single entity only after IIT Mumbai and Bharath University which filed 152 patents in year 2015 and 199 patents by the year 2019 respectively. The World Intellectual Property Indicator report of 2019 said that India had a greater number of patent applications in 2018 than 2017. Whereas, total 2922 number of patent application were filed by Indian universities, institutes and schools in 2019 alone. The below graph shows, top 25 patent filing Indian universities and institutes in 2019. Lovely Professional University (LPU) filed the highest patent applications (361) in year 2019. Lovely Professional University has filed 410 patents till date including 361 patents in 2019. LPU majorly covered all the industries and technical fields and has put efforts in taking the technologies a step forward. The below figure shows that the growth of patents filed in 2019 has been impressive when compared with their track record of LPU till 2018. They have done exceptional R&D and have become more active in a few technical domains like communication equipment, medical and dental instruments, domestic appliances, computers and peripheral equipment, etc. And showed a good percentage of patents filing growth.
