    Hello,
The JEE Mains exam is held every year and around 10 Lacs students appear in the exam, out of which only top 2,24,000 students are eligible to sit in the JEE Advanced exam.
The cut-off for JEE Mains exam:
    General-81 marks
    OBC-49 marks
    SC-32 marks
    ST-27 marks
This year, the JEE Mains cut-off may slightly get increased as compared to the previous year's cut-off.
If you are among the top students who qualified for the JEE Advanced, you can appear for it, otherwise, select JEE Mains colleges to take admission in the same.

If a student clear the cut off marks in JEE Mains, then he will be eligible for JEE Advance. And, also through JEE Mains score, he can get NIT or any government college for engineering.

You will not be eligible for admission as preparatory ranks are not considered under round 1. Since you have already qualified to appear for JEE (Advanced), all you need to do is meet the second criterion and apply for round 2, which will be only conducted if seats from round 1 remain vacant.

Yes, you can still get admission in Round 2 if you meet eligibility criteria to appear in JEE (Advanced) and have a valid JEE (Mains) rank. Also, you must have scored 60% or above in class 12th. For SC/ST/PwD category students, 55% or above is required.
