Yes, it is clearly written, according to the eligibility criteria of st. xavier college, presidency university, Jadavpur university, Calcutta university,. It is clearly written there that for getting admission you must secure 60% of your total aggregate and also in your each subjects too. Among which they would choose your best of 5 subjects among these 5 subjects you have to choose your honours subject which you will be pursuing for your higher education in this college. Or rather in any college of your choice.

Of course, you can. But, with 60% marks, you may not secure admission in top colleges. What you can do is, shortlist the colleges, which accepts the score range of yours, and apply those one by one. Hopefully, you'll get admission in one.

Yes, NUCAT syllabus is similar to high school Class 12 curriculum of CBSE, ISC, and various state boards. Topics covered in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are generally based on topics taught in Indian schools. Students who have studied under CBSE, ISC, or state boards will find familiar topics in NUCAT exam. There will be difference in type of questions asked in NUCAT 2026. It's always recommended to check official syllabus provided by the institution, as some topics have a slightly different focus or emphasis based on course or programme requirements.
