AKTU can be considered good in terms of its reputation, infrastructure, academics, and placements. The University is affiliated with more than 800 colleges in Uttar Pradesh. It is a state government university, recognised by AICTE and UGC. Students from top AKTU colleges often get jobs in TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, etc. AKTU can be chosen by students targeting top colleges of AKTU with affordable technical education. On the other hand, as per the student reviews, not all affiliated colleges offer quality education and placement opportunities. However, it is advisable to visit the desired college before making a decision.

AKTU has recorded good placements for its Institute of Engineering and Technology. As per the report, the highest package offered in 2024 was 53 LPA. The off-campus highest package was 112 LPA. IET recorded average package of 8.2 LPA in 2024.
