The department has more than 45 Ph.D. faculty members working in different thrust areas of research. With an increasing number of faculty members from IITs, CSIR Institutes, renowned foreign universities, and Pharmaceutical Industries. Seminars & Mock campus interviews To enhance the employability, various guest lecturers of eminent career consultants, academicians, and well-known career consultants are arranged. Mock campus Interviews are also conducted from time to time by the industry & academic experts so as to meet the need of the recruiters. Employability Enhancement programme Classes Special classes to improve the employment skills are conducted for the students which enhanced the number of placements. Research Activities To promote the research activities department organize various activities like conferences, project Expo in which students exhibit their research projects to the experts from Industry and academia. Various activities beyond the syllabus are organized to enrich the experience of the students which include field visits, educational tours, interaction with prominent people related to subject area, guest lectures, and participation in various conferences and workshops. Research laboratories There are well-equipped laboratories in the discipline. These labs have all essential research & analytical equipment viz. Steel & all glass distillation plant, rotary evaporator, high precision weighing machine, centrifuge machine, thermostatic hot air environmental chamber, high precision digital water bath, Wrist action shaker, thermostatic water bath, UV inspection cabinet, aspirator pump, vacuum pump, magnetic stirrer, heating mantle, hot plate, melting point apparatus, microwave oven, digital hot air oven, pH meter, conductivity meter, colorimeter, Polarimeter, etc. One research lab is separately established for research scholars. Analysis and characterization are done in the instrumentation laboratory which is equipped with IR Spectrophotometer, UV Spectrophotometer, and polarography. Thanks.
