Is it mandatory to have work experience or can we join IIM-B as soon as we complete our BE?

Hi Rohit,
It is not mandatory to have work experience for joining IIM Bangalore. However, understand that while selection, a certain weight is assigned for work experience and you will get 0 in that category. Having said that, it is not entirely impossible. I am currently a first year student at IIMB and I joined straight out of B-Tech without any work experience.

Work Experience is not mandatory to join PGP at IIM Bangalore or any other IIM. There are many freshers in the batch every year. This would just mean that you will not get any weightage for the work experience component in the admission process. You can compensate for it by getting a good CAT score. -
One can join directly after graduation. There is no minimum work ex-requirement.
Just FYI, we have around 20-30% freshers in our batch.
