Hello Being an alumni I had spent my 2 Years in LPU during my pursuance of MBA programme &amp; I really enjoyed each &amp; every moment of my campus life. I want to say something Packing bags, arranging books, finding old stuff back It wasn't easy as I thought My memories overweighed my luggage LPU campus is regarded as one of the best campuses among private universities in India. Similarly, LPUs infrastructure is one of the biggest and best in the world. The campus of LPU is surrounded by trees and gardens that make teaching and learning environment more comfortable. The pollution-free and healthy environment at LPU campus is other major highlights of the campus. In LPU, the key points of hostel facilities are1. CCTV based security in both boys and girls hostel. 2. A dedicated team of warden and workers who are available in the hostel for 24 hours in shifts to provide facilities to students. 3. Best north, south and other food facilities in the mess with quality and taste4. Near to hostels, there are playgrounds to play basketball, football, badminton, cricket. 5. Indoor stadium for swimming, gyming, and learning various exciting games6. Flexible timing to visit Unimall, library and work at innovation studio7. Due to students from across the country, students are getting interacted with them and capturing various positive vibes in terms of language and knowledge sharing. 8. In the weekends, DSW (Department of student welfare organizes various activities related to sports and entertainment for hostel students. 9. Hostels are fully air-cooled with the option of both cooler and AC. 10. The rooms have attached the washroom and each student has a separate B.Ed chair, study table, fan, almirah with locker facility. Power backup for light load only (not for AC/ Geyser/ Air cooler). Mess facility with vegetarian meals only. Parking two wheeler/car facility at designated places only. Gymnasium (optional on payment basis). Students in residential facility are permitted to keep Electrical Kettles, Electrical Irons, Steamer, Laptop, Mobile Charger, Shaving Set, Trimmer, Hair Straightener and Hair Dryer. Extra electricity bill due to the usage of these electrical items will be borne by the occupants of that room.

Dear Nomanjee, I think someone misguided you and told you the opposite. In fact, the LPU hostels are more convenient, and staying outside the campus is not safe. I have been there in the hostel for 2 years. As LPU is itself a mini town in its periphery. Students do not need to pass the gates of LPU for any essentials, you just name the thing and it is available inside the LPU campus only. Regarding safety concerns : The whole campus means every nook is Covered with CCTV cameras. Outsiders are not allowed to enter the University campus without a GATE pass. In fact, the staff who does not have RFIDs of their conveyance are not allowed to enter without the GATE pass. Girls are not allowed to go outside the university at any given point of time, to go outside the university, permissions from parents are taken to provide them with the GATE pass. The university is secured completely with high walls, barbed wires, security guards, and CCTVs so no loopholes where they can sneak from. Girls have to enter their specific hostels in the particular time duration of 7 pm, and they cannot escape from hostels as boys are allowed to roam the university till 9 pm maximum. Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs of time and will be accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. Girls are handled by the women security guards only. Illegal substances are strictly forbidden and regular checks are done to make sure such activities do not happen in the university. Any offensive act is not at all appreciated inside the campus and results in strict actions being taken against such action by the University. I hope this helps Thanks!

The University offers excellent living accommodation within the campus, separately for boys and Girls. There are rooms ranging from Standard Rooms to Apartments and students can opt for accommodation as per their convenience and choice. The hostels at LPU are basically of two types: 1. Standard Rooms: Standard Rooms at LPU hostels are arrangements like lodges where students can live in a shared 4/ 3/ 2/ 1-seater room with the option of having the room Air Cooled or Air-Conditioned Ventilation. Being an alumnus of LPU is can answer this question. Yes, hostels are so secure and there are so many restrictions on students. Like day scholars are not allowed in hostels. And even hostels are not allowed to go in other hostels this is weird but for security purposes it is good. And for clarity, I have made this restriction in point have a look at below points. 1) 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances like alcohol, drugs etc. Strict action used to be taken against the defaulters in case non-adherence of to such rules. 2) Students are not allowed to enter any other Hostel without permission of the authority. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored. 3) Boys are allowed to go outside the campus as per requirement but they need to return back &amp; report to Hostel by 8 PM. 4) Special Permission will be extended to Boys student for a night out with the written permission of the Warden &amp; Parents. 5) Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such act. Though there are many restrictions you can observe from the above-mentioned points for the hostellers but believe me at the end of the day you will find it necessary for all your security &amp; safety. These restrictions would definitely make you learn how to lead your life in a controlled environment. Campus Security Surveillance : 1) LPU campus is equipped with 6500+ CCTV surveillance a 24X7. NO you have got the absolute wrong version. Staying inside the campus of LPU is very safe as compared to outside. I am an alumnae of LPU itself and I can give you the real information. YES, LPU campus is very secured. Here are the facts that makes it secured and unique. LPU residential facility is indeed CITY IN A CAMPUS. The university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry &amp; exit to residential facility. LPU is one of the greenest campuses in the country. The greenery makes for a great learning environment and promotes creativity! The residential faculty &amp; staff provide after-hours guidance and support to the students, in case they need any academic or life advice. LPU campus is one of the safest campuses maintained by over 400 full-time security professionals, most of whom are experienced ex-military personnel, with thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The University has its very own fire station department. LPU also has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles ensuring that every movement is monitored. No, There is nothing as such. LPU hostels are very much safer than outside PG/Rooms. LPU has 24/7 security and CCTV surveillance. Also students of one hostel cannot enter into other hostels because the entry is biometric authentication. Also LPU doesn't allow any kind of drugs/alcohol etc. Student if caught doing such things will be punished and strict action will be taken against them. Also the whole campus is ragging free. Moreover students caught fighting will also be punished and strict action will be taken. People riding motorbikes inside campus are mandatory to wear helmets. I can say LPU is one of the safest place than another PG.

Hi Nomanjee, The all round development of a student can only be in a safe environment and LPU is without doubt the safest campus. LPU has an army of security personnel who work alertly day and night. The campus has 4000+ CCTV camera, more than the Indira Gandhi National Airport. The entry points have turnstile gates from where you can enter only with your ID card and finger impression. The wardens keep a check on the unnecessary movement of students. When the student's go for an outing, the message for the same automatically is sent to the parents who can also be aware of their ward. Hostel conducts events on festivals to give a home like feeling. You can choose from the variety of mess plans offered. Things are safe in the room. No outsider can visit the rooms without the prior consent of the concerned authorities. The vehicles are safely parked. Yes drugs and alcohol is not allowed in the hostel and maybe students not interested in shaping a successful career want to indulge in such activities and prefer to live outside the campus. It is manned by over 400 full time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The security team includes experienced ex-military men and women. A dedicated &amp; expert department of security officials and personnel are on duty 24 x 7 to ensure that no drug ever enters the campus. A majority of security personnel and gunmen are experienced ex-servicemen, fully equipped and trained. Lady security staff are specially recruited for girls hostel security. LPU has more CCTVs than even the New Delhi International Airport. The security department provides the necessary electronic security support system with more than 4000 CCTV cameras for the safety of the students and staff. The University has its very own fire station department, fully equipped with a fire truck and trained firemen. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored. I think reading through it you might understand that its one of the safest campus with security staff around you all the times.
