This scheme is also a part of our social responsibility towards special sections of our society. AFEWS is a unique scheme for reserving seats in all courses for the wards of Indian Defence personnel of different categories. Wards of different categories of defense personnel admitted under the above scheme will also be given the benefit of free -ship in prescribed tuition fee. 5% seats in all courses of Chandigarh University shall be reserved for the wards of Defence Martyrs, their immediate dependent members, and all defense personnel serving and retired, their spouse, and wards in the following manner. PRIORITY IN RESERVATION Order of priority under the scheme:- War widows and wards of war causalities. War injured and released defense personnel, spouses, and their wards. War disabled defense personnel, getting superannuated, spouses and their wards. Wards of serving defense personnel. Wards of retired defense personnel.

DETAILS OF CONCESSION shall be as follows:- Concession equivalent to 15% of the yearly fee for the war widows and wards of war causalities, war-injured and released defense personnel, spouse and their wards, war disabled defense personnel, getting superannuated, spouse and their wards. Concession is equivalent to 10% of the yearly fee for the wards/Spouse of serving and retired defence personnel. Concession equivalent to 10% of the yearly fee for the wards/Spouse of paramilitary forces personnel. Officers on Study Leave Defense officers in service who want to take up the courses during their study leave will be separately offered.
