Is there any other good course except MBBS for class 12th passed biology students?

    You can opt fr many other courses like bsc in biotech/ biochem/ microbio/ molecular bio/ physiology/ zoology/ botany/ medical lab tech/ forensic science/ psychology/ nutrition, b.pharma/ bds, btech in biomedical engg/ food technology. Dont add negative adjectives for any specific degree. U may not like it but u should respect each and every stream. All the best. Thank you.

    Yes, B.Voc Degree in Medical Lab Technology is the best option for a class 12th pass Science student who do not want to do MBBS. B.Voc is a work integrated degree programme where applicants get opportunity to earn while learning. In this programme theory classes happen at International Skills Academy (training hub partner) and practical training is conducted at best Hospitals, Pathology Labs etc. B.Voc degree in Medical Lab Technology is offered by Tata Institute of Social Sciences - School of Vocational Education (TISS-SVE), a NAAC A+ government.     Other than MBBS you should go for B.Tech in biotechnology as it has growing scope nowadays you will get a lot of opportunities in your future.

    Medicine is found to be the most preferred stream after +2 with PCB. This includes the most demanded MBBS which you have mentioned, followed by BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BVSc, B Sc Nursing, B Sc Agriculture, Diary Sciences, Home Sciences, Nutrition and Dietetics and so on. B Sc in Sciences is not a bad options. Bio Technology and Bio Informatics are in much demand these days.

    Other than MBBS, we have a lot of career options to choose with. We can simply go for B.Sc in biological science with honors. Other than this, we have BDS, BAMS, BHMS, B.Pharm B.Sc in nursing, physiotherapy, etc.

A gap of 1 to 2 years after 12th can be considered normal. Although the students should be able to address it via the valid documents. The reasons like health, finance, skill development or family are accepted.

Yes, it should not be hard for you to get admission to the University of Western Australia as an Indian student with 50% in class 12th. However, please note that it does not put you in the top applicants either. The general admission percentage requirement for international students is 50 to 65%.

Look at the other admission requirements - 

  • English proficiency tests with IELTS (bands 6.5) or TOEFL iBT (82+)
