Is there any section wise cutoff in JEE Advanced exam?

Yes. There are two types of cutoff in JEE Advanced: Sectional cutoff and Overall cut off. Sectional cutoff means minimum marks needed in physics, chemistry and maths. Overall cutoff is the minimum marks needed in total to pass exam. In 2025, the sectional JEE Advanced cutoff was 5.83% (7 marks) to be included in the common rank list (CRL). The same in 2024 was 8.68% (10 marks).On the other hand overall cutoff in 2025 was 20.56% (74 marks). In 2024, it was 30.34% (109 marks).
