It is not mandatory to have work experience to join IIMB, but it certainly carries weightage in admission process. IIMB has great diversity in terms of students with and without work experience that makes this place a great academic institution to learn.

Hi Anjali,
Work Experience is not mandatory for getting admission in IIM, Bangalore. However, IIM-B follows a composite score system where work experience is assigned some percentage (it was 10% last year as far as I remember). Therefore, being a fresher you would lose out on that 10 %. Having said that, you can still gain admission if you perform better in other sections (CAT is also a part, has 25% weight). It's certainly not impossible. As a case in point, I joined IIM Bangalore straight after my graduation.
All the Best!
