Should I drop one more year for the preparation of JEE Mains exam?
I scored 40 marks in JEE Mains. I belong to the ST category. I scored 90% in class 12th (MP board). I want to pursue B.Tech from NIT.

Don't drop a year again. NIT is not everything. There are many colleges belonging to NITs. SGSITS, Indore is one of them. -
It essentially depends on what matter most to you and whether this decision is going to affect it. It is highly unlikely that this single decision is going to define your future, contrary to popular perception. Yes, maybe the same opportunities may not be "easily"available to you, but you can always work harder to get them. -
If engineering is your dream and if you are able to do it then drop 2nd year otherwise leave it.
