Let me tell you one simple thing that, for engineering, there is nothing better than the IIT. So if you have any doubts and comparison which includes IIT then just shift towards IIT.

The Exam IIT JEE has been bifurcated into JEE Mains and Advanced after 2013.
Now the admission in NIT and Govt/Private Colleges is through Mains and IITs allow admission through Advanced only.
Coming back to your query, Computer Engineering Colleges that are best in the country are IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, BITs Pilani, and DTU.
Now, admission in most of the institutes is through Advanced but few best colleges are for JEE Mains clearing candidates too.

There are many colleges good for computer science other than IITS. You can take admission in any of those colleges.
If you think you can drop a year to prepare well for JEE then only go for it. -

To get into IITs you must clear the IIT JEE, and to be eligible to take the JEE exams one must have at least 75% in 12th. You can check your percentile and decide. Other than IITs you can try for other engineering institutes and entrances like BITSAT, VITEEE, SRMJEEE, etc.
