Dear Vaibhavi, Yes, it is true that LPU has its own hospital inside the campus. It provides benefits to all students as well as its staff (both teaching and non-teaching). Being alumni of LPU, let share more about it. There are no charges for Doctor consultations. 247 Doctor availability and emergency. LPU is not just a university; it is a mini township by itself. Facilities ranging from restaurants, eateries, grooming facilities, a shopping mall, bowling alley, university-hospital, banks, and post-offices are all available. I was surprised to SEE the diverse dining and shopping options available within the university campus. There is a state-of-the-art 8-storey mall which has shops of all possible needs, departmental stores, and gadget stores too. " university HOSPITAL at LPU is a Full Fledged university-Hospital, that is operational 24x7 with facilities to manage all sort of medical emergencies. It has a Physiotherapy clinic is open to all students for consultation and rehabilitation. The university organizes in-campus camps at regular intervals to spread health awareness. The management of University has made sure that every facility of a town is available inside the campus. And so does the in house hospital called university HOSPITAL. Doctors can be approached by making appointment through UMS portal or directly by visiting the block. It has 20+ Emergency helplines, 20+ Doctors and Nursing Staff, 24 hrs Ambulance service and 25+ specialised hospital tie ups The OPD Facilities include :- General Medicine General Surgery Eye Consultation and Eye Testing Dental Consultation and Procedures Gynae Consultation ENT Consultation Skin Consultation Ayurvedic Consultation Psychological Consultation The university-Hospital is Operational 24x7 with facilities to manage all sort of medical emergencies. It has 20+ beds for Students and Staff. (Separate for Male and Female) No Charges are taken for Consultation, patient has to pay for the medicines and recommended tests. There is a Chemist Shop where medicines are available at subsidized rates. It is open for 24 hours. Medicine will be given after seeing the doctors prescription. In case condition of the Patient is not stable and getting worse, we refer the case to Specialist hospital after giving immediate first aid. Specialty hospitals of Jalandhar, Phagwara and Ludhiana are on the Panel list of Sh. Baldev Raj Mittal Hospital. University has 4 Ambulances. Dear Vaibhavi, Being a alumni, I am in a better position to answer your question. First of all, my experience at LPU has been phenomenal. Yes, you have heard it right. LPU has its own hospital inside the campus which is 24 hours working It is obviously of great benefit to the students and even faculty members as well. There are ambulances, that are called immediately in case of any emergency in hostels or anywhere else in the campus. No Charges are taken for Consultation, the patient has to pay for the medicines and recommended tests. Doctors can be approached by making appointment through UMS portal or directly by visiting the block. There are also blood donation camps organised by the doctors in LPU, along with that any specialists when available in the hospital, the message is passed to the students through UMS and LPU touch such as eye specialists, veterinary doctors are also present here Hope this will helpful!

Visiting specialists once a week for providing specialty clinics. Tie up with Twenty-five hospitals for referral cases requiring specialised medical intervention.
