What about social distancing at LPU?

The University continues to closely monitor the evolving situation of COVID-19 and is following the guidelines issued by State/Central Government from time-to-time. In response to the current pandemic condition in India, the University has taken the following initiatives to support the prospective students along with the existing LPU community: Complete Online Process: Fully Online Application and Admission process: Student can complete all the stages of admission from Application to appearing for test, interview, taking admission and uploading of documents through online mode only. Proctored Test/ Interview from Home: LPU has also initiated the conduct of remotely proctored online LPU NEST (Eligibility Exam) from home and remote video Interviews for admission. Our Proactive approach: At LPU, we have always been guided by our commitment to respond to every situation in a proactive manner. Dealing with COVID-19 situation was challenging not only for us but for everyone on this universe. However, LPU delivered on its critical commitments to facilitate effective learning for our students by training and advancing their knowledge frontier through comprehensive (360) use of technology. We are first among few organisations in the country who immediately responded to the situation by: Starting new session for Batch 2020 in July/ August 2020. Completing 1st and 2nd semester for 2020 batch students on time in December 2020 and May 2021 respectively.

The past year has taught us that things we took for granted can be taken away all too quickly. For many, this has meant losing out on the university experience of new friendships, newfound independence, and taking part in societies or a new sport. As a result, this has elicited a new kind of experience studying at home, which involves self-discipline and motivation. It is and has been, a tough period for many staff and students by dealing with a new way of learning online to keep everyone safe while delivering worthy content and an experience for students. LPU is doing whatever it takes to cope with the current situation and that could also bring around flexibility on both ends. SAFETY AND SECURITY Safety and security of the students, faculty and staff is always ensured at LPU campus. Facilities like university Hospital, full time security staff, fire safety team, secured residential facilities make LPU campus a safe place by adhering to Government guidelines. In face of the challenges posed by the Covid 19 pandemic, LPU has responded to every situation in a proactive manner. The university delivered on its critical commitments to facilitate effective learning for its students by training and advancing their knowledge by using technology. LPU was among the first few organizations in the country which were able to handle the transition from physical classes to online classes quickly and smoothly. Efforts are being made by the team to keep the campus safe for everyone. Temperature and other checks are being done at entry points of the University. All faculty and staff members are required to follow the Covid 19 related policies and requirements.

Hi,There are multiple measures taken at the University to ensure safety and security during COVID times. They include :- CAMPUS PREPAREDNESS: Temperature and other checks at entrance points of the university. All the members of faculty and staff are required to follow the COVID-19 related policies and requirements as stated by State/ Central Government. Additional measures include: Regular Cleaning & Disinfecting of workspace. Restrictive entry in the campus for all outsiders. 24X7 medical and health support through in-house Campus Hospital. Work from home option given to members having any health concerns. INITIATIVES IN RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES: To ensure the safety of students who would be residing in hostels, university has planned following initiatives: Regular Thermal scans for every individual entering the hostel premises. Respiratory Masks to be worn by everyone at the time of leaving the room. Sanitization of hostel rooms and other infrastructure facilities like common rooms etc. including play areas as per govt. norms Timing of consuming food in the Hostel mess to be staggered to ensure social distancing norms. Option of packed food and room service is also being explored. Uni Hospital situated at the heart of the campus is fully equipped to take care of the medical needs of the staff and students and is operational 24x7 with following facilities to manage all sort of medical emergencies. 25 bedded hospital staffed with well qualified doctors, nurses and lab technicians. Full time qualified doctors including a general physician, pathologist, ophthalmologist, dentist along with a physician from traditional Ayurvedic system of medicine. Visiting specialists once a week for providing specialty clinics. Tie up with Twenty-five hospitals for referral cases requiring specialized medical intervention. Equipped to provide various services such as handling emergencies, minor surgeries at Uni Hospital 24X7 Chemist shop where medicines are available at subsidized rates. Qualified psychologists available for counseling. Physiotherapy OPD available with experts for handling cardiovascular, neurological, orthopedic, sports and pediatric physiotherapy. Specialized labs have been set up including Electro diagnostic and Electro therapeutic modalities, Orthopedics and Sports Rehab, Neurological Rehab, Cardiopulmonary Rehab, and Pediatrics Rehab. Regular health and counseling sessions are conducted in hostels and classrooms to enhance health awareness.

Hello! Safety of students are at most priority for LPU. LPU strictly follows all the norms and guidelines as stated by government. Social Distancing will be observed in the academic blocks by taking following measures: I. University official timings may be extended so that students may be called in different time slots and only 50% students are present in the academic blocks at a given point of time. Physical classroom contact hours may be staggered to support social distancing-based learning. Ii. Government norms regarding social distancing, wearing of masks, sanitation will be followed. LPU is taking all the measures in this pandemic situation. Following are the measure followed by LPU : To ensure the safety of students who would be residing in hostels, university has planned following initiatives: Regular Thermal scans for every individual entering the hostel premises. Respiratory Masks to be worn by everyone at the time of leaving the room. Sanitation of hostel rooms and other infrastructure facilities like common rooms etc. Including play areas as per government norms. Regular health and counseling sessions are conducted in hostels and classrooms to enhance health awareness, personal hygiene and emotional strength by both internal and external experts. Checkup camps are regularly held for students, staff on the campus as well as in the referral hospitals. Wearing of Masks and Daily Sanitation is mandatory at LPU. I hope this helps. All the Best!
