What age relaxation is provided to different categories to fill the IAS 2023 application?

Union Public Service Commission provides age relaxation in the upper age limit to the socially and economically backward classes because of the provisions mentioned in the Constitution of India. The Commission provides the following age relaxations to the corresponding categories to apply for the IAS exam. 5 years to SC and ST Category 3 years to Other Backward Classes 3 years to the Defence Services Personnel, disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof 5 years to the Ex-servicemen including commissioned officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least five years of military service as on August 1, 2023, and have been released 10 years to the PwD candidates as per the following description [ (a) blindness and low vision; (b) deaf and hard of hearing; (c) locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; and (e) multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness] There is no age relaxation provided for the EWS category candidates.
