The allowances offered to SSC JHT are given below:
- The Dearness Allowance is 12 per cent of Basic Pay under the 7th Pay Commission
- The transport allowances also vary with the posting center. In the cities, it would be INR 3600 + and for all other places, the TA will be not less than INR 1800+
- Children Education Allowance of INR 27000 per annum is available for children studying class Nursery to class XII. CEA also increases with an increase in DA. A Hostel subsidy of INR 81000 per annum for children studying in the hostel is also available
- Every year the officers will get INR 10000 as uniform allowances

Candidates who are found to possess Mobile or Cellular Phones, Pager and other unauthorised electronic gadgets after commencement of the examination, whether in use or not, will be deemed to be using unfair means and would be liable to disciplinary action as deemed fit, including ban from future examinations conducted by SSC. Their candidate will also be cancelled for the examination.
