Let me explain you the admission system here. Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000, so you can get admission in VIT in the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well. With each category admission, the fee goes higher. The first category closed till 15,000 rank, and you can get CSE till 9000 rank and IT till 11000 rank, but there is a 2nd category as well, if you want CSE, you have to pay more for that.
    Hope this helps.

There are 5 categories in the VIT admission procedure. Each category has a different fee structure. The 5th category has the highest, i.e. 5 lacs/annum tuition fees.

Based on your VITEEE rank you will be assigned a category amongst four categories. They are 1,2,3 and 4. Each category has a different fee structure. Category 1 has low fees and category one has the highest.
    Category 1- 1 to 20,000.
    Category 2- 20,000 to 40,000.
    Category 3- 40,000 to 60,000.
    Category 4- 60,000 to 80,000.
