What are the easily understandable CAT preparation books for beginners?

There are a list of books that you'll get whenever and wherever you search for CAT preparation. The idea is not to solve everything. Qualitative study is more important. Focus more on your weak areas and weak topics rather than trying to finish every book you come across. Of the material I've gone through, most useful were the following 1. Quantitative ability - TIME study material - Quantitative Aptitude by Arun Sharma * my recommendation won't be to solve the Complete book, rather solve time or whatever coaching material you have and the topics that you find difficult or you need more practice in solve those from this book. - CAT 500 by IMS This is one book released by IMS generally a month before CAT. get hold of that, it works as an amazing question bank. You can get last year's copy online. 2. Verbal Ability - high school grammar by Wren and Martin I know people say grammar is becoming less important for this exam, question paper pattern has changed etc. But I strongly believe it really helps in everything from PJs to SCs to FIBs - TIME Grammar booklet - WPME Norman Lewis (Vocabulary) - Practical English Grammar - Michael Swan * Other than this, make sure you read, anything you like would do. It would help you in reading those long passages and questions in your exam. 3. LR and DI - IMS LR & DI booklet - Past Year Questions - Arun Sharma books for LR and DI For a question bank from past year papers, you Can get hold of Face to Face. Hope this helps. All the best.
