What are the eligibility criteria for candidates seeking admission to NISER and UM-DAE CEBS?

No, the admit card for NEST 2026 will be released on May 15, 2026. NEST admit card download link will be activated at nestexam.in. Students must provide the application number / login Id and password to download the admit card.

The exam authority will release the NEST 2026 admit card on the website, nestexam.in. To access the admit candidates have to provide the NEST admit card login. The admit card will be issued to registered candidates. 

Students who fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria and have completed the registration process can appear for the NEST 2026 exam. NEST 2026 eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

• Passed 10+2 from a recognised board in 2024, 2025 or appearing in 2026.
• Have studied Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology in Class 11 & 12.
• Secured a minimum of 60% in aggregate or equivalent grade ( 55% for SC, ST, and Divyangjan categories).

NISER and UM-DAE CEBS conduct the NEST exam for admission to the integrated MSc programme offered in the institutes. The NEST exam is conducted as a computer-based test. The questions are based on the CBSE curriculum and the NCERT syllabus for Class 11 & 12.

The exam authority releases the NEST mock test several days before the exam. The purpose of the mock tests is to make students familiar with the computer-based test. Also, students get the feel of an actual exam, and they can evaluate their performance.
