The TUM Garching campus is the research-hub of the Technical University of Munich. The campus developed in 1957, began with the commissioning of the first research reactor: The Garching atomic egg.

The campus is located in close proximity to the best research institutions & startups in the region & is an integral part of Munich's technological ecosystem.

Students would need to have INR 12.6 L in their blocked account to be eligible for a student visa in Germany.  This is needed to prove you have enough money to fund your studies in Germany. The application fees for a German student visa is INR 8 K. Health Insurance is also mandatory in Germany. For that, INR 10.6 K-INR 15.9 K are needed.

TUM is very similar to MIT USA in certain aspects. It has a world-class research environment, as does MIT. It gives just as much importance to STEM courses and Innovation as MIT. It does not have the same level of reputation as MIT does, but, it is far more affordable than the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It also has a marginally better acceptance rate (8%), than MIT US (4.5%).
