Hey, as a fellow student checking out B.Tech options, LPU's pretty solid for engineering. The campus is massive with top-notch labs, modern hostels, and all the facilities you need to actually learn stuff hands-on.
Faculty-wise, many are from IITs/NITs, super qualified, and they focus on practical skills like projects and industry visits, not just rote learning. Placements are a big plus—companies like Microsoft and Google recruit here, with good packages if you maintain a decent CGPA.
Curriculum covers basics to advanced tech, including AI and CSE specializations, ranked decently in NIRF too. Sure, some events can distract, but

at LPU NEST counselling, you would have to check the result & rank, fill and lock online course/seat preferences, get the allotment of the seat based on the rank and choices, pay to secure the seat by paying the initial fee, and go on to upload/verify documents and pay the remaining fee within the stipulated time for final admission.

Counselling form can be filled after the LPU NEST exam score is published. After which, candidates must enter seat preferences and proceed to the admission process. During the admission process, candidates must pay an admission fee and upload all the necessary documents.

Yes, students can get admission in LPU without LPUNEST if they have scores of other accepted exams. The university conducts LPUNEST as both a scholarship and entrance test. Students can instead submit scores of the following exams as well:

  • JEE Mains for BTech admission
  • CAT/ XAT/ MAT for MBA admission
  • CUET-PG for MSc, MCA, etc.
  • GATE for M.Tech admission
  • NATA for BArch admission

you can totally join LPU without taking LPUNEST, depending on the course you're eyeing. For lots of programs like BBA, BCom, BA, or BCA, they check your 12th marks or previous academics, and if you meet the cutoff, you're in—no test needed. Just apply online at admission.lpu.in, pay the Rs 10,000 provisional fee to lock your spot (it adjusts later), and you're good, as long as you fit eligibility.
For stuff like BTech, MBA, or agriculture though, LPUNEST is usually mandatory for entry and scholarships, but even there, toppers or those with JEE/NEET scores might skip it. LPU keeps it flexible so more students get a shot at their awesom
