What are the timings for library?

Dear Nikki, I do not have any idea about other universities but I can share the library timing of LPU. I used to spend my studying hours in the library only, especially during exams. The regular operational timings of the LPUs University Library are from 8 AM to 12 PM (Midnight). However, during the conduct of examination, the library remains operational till 1:00/2:00 AM. It is also to be noted that, one can get the books issued by 9:00 PM. In addition to Central Library, the University is also housing Departmental Libraries in the respective Schools. These libraries remain operational during academic hours. All the libraries are equipped well with automated interfaces in order to control the Entry and Exit of students. In fact, the books are also issued/returned using Barcode Scanners. University libraries are housing a huge collection of 43+ Lacs Books, e-resources, referral documents pertaining to varied courses/subject matter. Libraries have also subscribed to various Journals, Magazines, and Newspapers in line with the recommendation of the respective School. Various ICT-based resources are also subscribed by the University Library like e-books, e-journals, databases. Some of the notable e-resources are IEEE, Springer, ASME, ASCE, ProQuest, Capitaline, Manupatra, Shodhganga, Shodhgangotri, DELNET, INFLIBNET, JGATE, etc. The central library is also equipped with dedicated Computer Labs which enables a student to access the systems post-academic hours as well. As the university is not fully offline The Central Library at LPU is functional from morning 8 a. m to 9 p. m in the night. The regular operational timings of the LPUs University Library are from 8 AM to 12 PM (Midnight). LPU has a huge library management system. In order to facilitate all their students, they have 11 branches of library distributed within the campus other than the central library at Block 37. The Library system also offers ICT-based resources to its users, such as e-books, e-journals, and databases. The E-resources subscribed by University Library are IEEE, Springer, EBSCO, Capitaline, Manupatra, GATE plus, DELNET, JSTOR, Books academic collection, McGraw Hill Books collection, S. Hand Books collection, Shodhganga, Shodhgangotri, INFLIBNET, NDL, etc.

Lovely Professional University has one central Library on the campus, the library is usually open till 12:00 AM and you can issue books till 9:00 PM while during the exams, it is open till 2:00 AM. The best part is there is lots of seating and reading space around so that you can be comfortable and do your group studies and the campus central library is fully automated and the university has 9 story academic resource building with 4 stories dedicated library. There is no certain timing for boys to visit the library, however, for girls, the hostel entry timings are in two slots I. e first slot from 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM and the second slot is from 10:00 PM - 12:00 PM. In both the slots a batch of girls from all the hostels is taken to the library and also while returning to the hostel they are accompanied by the Guard or Security Officer. There are small libraries for students in each block or their concerned department where students go and read the books. The timings are morning 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

LPU has a separate library for each block. These all get close with 5:00 pm as the related block gets closed too. But their central library which accommodates millions of books and 9 floors. It has state-of-the-art infrastructure and personal reading rooms for scholars. And the library is quite always. But then also you can go and read your book in personalized study rooms. It has 2 cafeterias and one entire floor to access computers to read e-books and do some tasks online if you need to do. And one Mac lab dedicated to development and mac apps or software development. You also can issue books and take them to your room. Timing for this library will be 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight. Quite flexible hours.

Documentation Service I, e such as photocopy, scanning, typesetting, designing and printing. Library users are provided with some discount on the given services. LPU has a huge library management system. In order to facilitate all their students they have 11 branches of library distributed within the campus other than the central library at Block 37. Library system also offers ICT based resources to its users, such as e-books, e-journals, databases. The E-resources subscribed by University Library are IEEE, Springer, EBSCO, Capitaline, Manupatra, GATE plus, DELNET, JSTOR, Books academic collection, McGraw Hill Books collection, S. Hand Books collection, Shodhganga, Shodhgangotri, INFLIBNET, NDL etc.
