To practice as an advocate in Indian courts, candidates must pass the All India Bar Exam (AIBE). You need to pass this exam to pursue a career in law. As per the law of the Bar Council of India, you can practice for two years until you pass the AIBE exam. You can practice law provisionally after registering with the respective state bar council. This is allowed for two years, by which time you must clear AIBE. During this time, some lawyers assist their seniors. You can learn how to practice in high courts or the Supreme Court during this time by assisting senior advocates in their cases. -
