  • Students consistently describe GIBS faculty as being involved and supportive of students through events, during sessions on-orientation and mentoring on campus. At orientation programs, professors have been described as approachable guides, helping new students better understand the program's curriculum, expectations, and learning culture, easing their transition into management studies and building their confidence towards the program. At events and interactive sessions, faculty have often acted as moderators/mentors/judges, sharing real-world experiences and encouraging active student participation in the learning process. what I really noticed is that faculty don't just sit in their cabins and wait for class. During events, orientations, and mentoring sessions, they're fully involved — like actually working with us. They watch rehearsals, help with anchors, fix our presentations, guide our ideas, and literally make sure everything runs smooth. It doesn't feel like “teachers vs students, ” it's more like “teamwork.” And lowkey that's where confidence builds.

  • Faculty members are frequently noted by GIBS Students for the supportive role they provide outside of class, particularly during events and orientation, where faculty can be found guiding and assisting new students in all aspects of coordinating their first day on campus. Faculty also participate in mentoring sessions and provide new students with a wealth of practical experience that blends with the academic concepts they have learned. Faculty are typically very easy to approach; they encourage students to participate and give students the confidence they need to develop strong relationships both inside and out of the classroom. • Structured Placement Preparation

GIBS takes a strategic approach to the placement preparation process by distributing it throughout the entire academic year, as opposed to cramming everything into the end of the year. GIBS provides a supportive environment for introverted or non-marketing oriented students to develop their placement potential through a focus on personalized mentoring and emphasising strengths rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Students will be assisted by the placement team and faculty in finding appropriate career paths in analytics, finance, human resources, operations, research, back-end consulting or corporate support functions where communication skills are crucial but aggressive sales techniques are not required. Mock interviews, aptitude training, resume development, domain-based skill development and one-to-one mentor

From my experience, it's honestly a lot more than I expected. The CPM/finishing school itself runs almost like a separate layer on top of PGDM — regular skill-building sessions, aptitude training, communication practice, mock GDs, mock interviews, resume work, plus recruiter-specific prep. If you count it roughly, by 2nd year we easily cross a few hundred hours of structured training without even realizing it because it's spread across weeks and semesters. And apart from the official sessions, we have IRE workshops, bootcamps, events, and mentor reviews that also add up to placement prep indirectly. It's not like “two months crash
