    Hello,
It's the dream of almost every Indian to clear civil services exam with good marks and be eligible for IFS. Only such dreams work wonders for motivation of young generation. The exam conducted by UPSC is actually a test of skill and knowledge about one's chosen subject. How skillfully or how completely we understand that subject is what UPSC tries to find out. Hence doctors, engineers, accountants, historians, language experts etc. have an equal chance of cracking this most prestigious exam. Thus, one must always study the subject that one is passionate about, the subject in which one has great interest. Once this is done, one can

    You may take up humanities.
To become an IFS officer the same procedure needs to be followed as of an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. One has to appear for the selection procedure (examinations, etc.) organized by the UPSC - The Civil Services Examinations*. The examinations are held in two parts - Preliminaries and Main. The Preliminaries or Prelims are held to eliminate most of the candidates who apply. Then the Mains are held to eliminate from this shorter pool. After the Mains successful candidates are interviewed. Meanwhile, when applying for the examination the candidate has to rank the services according to his/her

    Hey there,
Well, there is no such requirement of streams for UPSC exams, it's just you need a Bachelor's degree at least to be deemed eligible.
However, if you want to become an IFS officer then, of course, Bachelors in Arts would be the best option which you can have.
Humanities include subjects such as history, political science, sociology and international relations to which you can have access during your graduation.
Also, you can keep any of them as an optional subject. For example, you can opt for public administration which is quite scoring and a majority of aspirants opt for this subject and also for an IFS officer, this would be r

    Hi,
There is no such requirement of any specific stream after 12th for becoming a diplomat.
To become a diplomat one needs to qualify Union Public Service Commission examination and if the rank is good then one can choose IFS (Indian Foreign Services).
If your only aim is to crack civil services examination and join Indian Foreign Service you can take up any humanities subject like history, geography, public administration, political science, economics, sociology, philosophy, etc. in graduation and start preparing for the exam from the 1st year of your graduation.
Take up the subject that you are most interested in so that you can optio

Hi.

If you apply with JEE Main scores, CU primarily considers your JEE Main percentile / AIR for admission.

12th marks are generally secondary in this case — mostly used for eligibility criteria (like minimum 50–60% in PCM or aggregate, depending on branch).

High JEE scores can also qualify you for JEE-based scholarships at CU.

Hi.

Yes — for admission to B.Tech/B.E. at Chandigarh University (CU), there is a requirement on your 12th‑class marks (along with other eligibility conditions), even if you're using your JEE Main score.

What's required from 12th (or equivalent) at CU

You must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics.

For many B.Tech courses at CU, including those that accept JEE Main or CU's entrance (CUCET), the minimum aggregate requirement in 12th is around 50% (for general or merit‑based eligibility) as a baseline.

Some sources show that for “full eligibility” (especially for certa

Hi.

If your 12th result has not been announced yet then

Upload expected / provisional marks for now.

Final admission depends on the official 12th mark sheet after results are announced.

Colleges are used to this situation, especially for students applying in early cycles.

Hi.

AIIMS is primarily a medical college/university (undergraduate, postgraduate, super-speciality, etc.) + a hospital.

Its courses begin after Class 12 — i.e. you must have completed 12th standard (10+2) to be eligible for entry into courses like MBBS, B.Sc., etc.

The official course list of AIIMS includes medical and allied health degrees — not school-level classes (11th / 12th) as per its academic catalogue.

Thus, AIIMS itself does not run 11th and 12th standard as a school.
