If a question is wrong in the JEE Advanced exam, then one of the following steps is taken by the examination authority:
- Sometimes marks are awarded only to those students who had attempted the question weather right or wrong.
- Sometimes the wrong questions are totally rejected from question paper and marks and ranking given on the remaining right questions.
- Sometimes marks are given to all students weather they attempted the question or not.
It is not always the same. Thus one cannot determine before hand whether everyone gets marks or only those who attempted that question will get the marks.
