What is COVID-19 FRONTLINE Scholarship Scheme at LPU?

When the world was shaken up due to the sudden break of COVID 19 Pandemic, LPU didnt gave up. It understood the time cruciality and the importance of the turn of students career. When the rest of universities and educational institution decided to call of the academic session. LPU introduce a completely university configured classroom portal of myclass, where the students were not only benefitted with the class conduction but also could refer to the recordings and lecture notes of the same and that too at the dispersal of their time convenience. This mode was reachable by just clicking on chrome and one didnt require any additional down loading. Education was easily accessible and comprehendible now. Along with this LPU also added an additional feature of LPU LIVE in the university management system, through this chat mode the children could easily communicate with their faculty members at the time of any doubt sessions. LPU believed that in this crucial time when life was damn taxing, a shoulder of a friend is much needed. Hence to encourage warm mentorship model. It developed a separate vertical in their UMS by the name of My Dost where the counsellors were available to hear out your stress and help you from recovering from the cause & effect of the stress you have just been through. LPU strongly believes in the mission of THINK BIG! And at every step it ensures to meet it. This is how LPU kept up the pace during pandemic.

We all witnessed the current pandemic situation brought by COVID 19 and the uncertainties associated with it. It has not only caused an unprecedented health crisis but is also causing huge financial distress. But during this fight against the Global Pandemic, there is a frontline workforce consisting of Doctors, Nurses, Paramedical staff, Civic staff, Police personnel and many more who are working day-night to protect our country. The persons who have survived this pandemic have put a brave fight against this deadly disease. Realizing this selfless service of the COVID-19 frontline workforce and the fight of the survivors, Lovely Professional University is pleased to honour their contribution by offering Scholarship of 20% on programme fee waiver worth INR 20 Crores to support the self/ wards of these individuals in all the regular programmes offered for Academic session 2020-21. The special scholarship will be awarded for the full duration of the programme. The below steps can be followed to apply for this Take admission in the selected programme. Apply for COVID-19 Frontline scholarship. Submit the valid proof (ID Card, Service Certificate from employer, Drug license, Medical Shop Registration, Discharge Certificate from Hospital or any other document certifying the proof of eligibility for scholarship). A Certificate from the Head of the Institute may have to be submitted certifying the involvement of concerned employee in essential services during lockdown due to COVID-19. Document establishing relationship (10th mark sheet, Aadhar card, Ration card, Voter ID card) need to be submitted. Documents will be verified by a committee specially constituted for this purpose for swift approval of all the cases. Last date to apply for scholarship under this scheme is over. Scholarship is applicable in programmes offered in regular mode only. Wards will include son/s and/or daughter/s who are dependents also. Scholarship is applicable for Indian applicants only. Waiver will be given from programme fee only.
