They are standardized tests, which you must clear to study abroad. SAT is for undergraduate degree in USA to be precise. TOEFL is the test for proficiency in English language. You would require to demonstrate sufficient English language skills to adjust in an English speaking environment. SAT commonly is taken by high school students. However, there is no eligibility criteria for these tests. -

SAT and ACT are standardized exams, which most of the colleges require their students to take. However, there are few colleges which do not require these exams. TOEFL on the other hand is an English proficiency test, which is required by all colleges and universities.
