What is so special about interview preparatory classes at LPU? Doesn't every college do it?

Hi there, First of all let me appraise you that LPU doesn't have any short term preparatory classes for placement interviews. It has a full fledged department which is called school of professional enhancement. The unique points about it are: 1. It kicks in early into the programme in semester 1 or 2 depending on the programme, not for few months prior to placements as in other colleges. 2. The focus is not only communication but many other skills like : Public speaking, personality development. Mannerisms, social etiquette, interpersonal and networking skills. 3. Right cultural sensibilities, ethics and work virtues, critical thinking and analyzing the situations are made integral part of its curriculum. So, it is the prolonged exposure to great communication and other techniques which inculcate the right type of professional skill sets into the students which not only help him/her in placements but also help them throughout the career. Yes it is special feature of LPU as it is not only classes but having a proper School of Professional enhancement which focuses not only communication but many other skills like : Public speaking, personality development. Mannerisms, social etiquette, interpersonal and networking skills. Right cultural sensibilities, ethics and work virtues, critical thinking. So, it is the prolonged exposure to great communication and other techniques which inculcate the right type of professional skill sets into the students which not only help him/her in placements but also help them throughout the career. Hi, At the onset any reward comes with joint and collaborative effort. Hence, the relentless effort of the departments and the students do bear fruits in the end. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement with the help of a dedicated Division of Career Services (team of about 40 person) and faculty/staff from parent School. The university puts its best efforts for the grooming of the students to get good placements. Few of these efforts are like: Corporate Interactions HR Conclaves Live Projects with Industry Competitions Industry Tie-ups and Centres of Excellence Professional Enhancement Programme All the exercises stated above are the result of joint efforts of the school departments and the dedicated department named Centre of Professional Enhancement with 100+ full time dedicated trainers working closely with Placement cell (Division of Career Services). LPU provides opportunities to students to avail Internship / On-Job Training with industry as a part of their degree. All this is self explanatory in rewarding the University with excellent placements.

LPU placement classes are famous because of it's innovative teaching during those classes and open learning approach is considered. Special inputs are provided to students. LPU provides with Personality Enhancement Programme classes where students are trained in aptitude, reasoning, soft skills, interviewing skills, free preparation for government exams and more, right from the 2nd year till their placements. These classes are meant to train students basically for their placements and for personality development. Trainers work on building students personality, communication skills, interpersonal skills, build up their confidence and highlight their points where they are lacking. Before appearing in interviews through these classes they get exposure to how to crack interviews by appearing in mock drives conducted by LPU officals. It's great initiative taken by LPU to make their students eligible and experienced before appearing in interviews. Every college not do so as far as I know. Hope you got your answer well.
