To be eligible for admission into IIT Bombay's B.Tech courses, a candidate must have completed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, score a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12 (for General/EWS/OBC) or be in the top 20 percentile in their board, and be born on or after October 1, 2000. Admission is strictly based on performance in JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The general category cutoffs for Engineering Physics in 2024 were 700-1700. Seats are distributed across General, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories.
