Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Conducts entrance exam for admission in MA Politics (with specialization to International Relations). In JNU MA Politics entrance, the questions are based on the UG level syllabus of Political Science, History and Economics. There will be 20 questions: -Questions are from each subject - Political Science, History and Economics -You have to attempt five questions from them. -Focusing on two or three topics of these will be enough. -Don't go for all topics as there will be 20 questions out of which you will have to answer only 5 questions -Read The Hindu Newspaper daily and Frontline Magazine Once you manage to clear the examination, then the admission process involves receiving an official ranking letter with date of admission and details of process.

Jawaharlal Nehru University is to announce JNU 2018 eligibility criteria on September 14 along with the availability of JNU application form. The JNU eligibility criteria mention academic qualification I.e., subject and qualifying marks required for admission into a programme offered in the central university. The University conducts Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam, JNUEE between December 27 and 30, 2017, for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes including Arts, Science, Social Sciences as offered at various specializations in departments and schools of Jawaharlal Nehru University. Candidates applying for JNU admissions 2018 must check eligibility criteria before filling the application form of JNU 2018. Candidates must note that if any candidate is found ineligible for admission to the concerned programme, the admission will be canceled right away as per JNU eligibility criteria 2018. JNU 2018 Eligibility Criteria- M.A. in Politics (with specialization in International Studies) Candidates need to have completed their graduation in any discipline under 10+2+3 education pattern. Candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in the qualifying degree examination. How to prepare? Firstly, it is important to practice writing answers, as JNU changed the pattern of the question paper for this subject this year. I appeared for this exam this year, so there was a passage to attempt and three questions. Given the limits on the pages, it is important to be very precise, and quality oriented. You can't afford even a single line of random rambling. Secondly, follow the newspapers, and do read editorials of newspapers like the Hindu. Thirdly, read some basic books like Political theory by OP Gauba and Oxford Companion to Politics, as well as Global Politics by Andrew Heywood, but make sure you read selectively, since no one can memorise the entire set of books, so focus on concepts and do quote some good authors to prove your arguments in the answers, but be original and analytical in your ideas. It is very important to learn to connect the theory with the practical part that is happening around us. Structuring your answer properly is very important, so shortlist some topics from current affairs as well as go through previous years question papers and start writing two questions each day, and you will gradually improve at this.
