Eligibility
Essential:A candidate must have passed 10+2 (any stream; eg. Science, Commerce, Arts, etc.) or equivalent OR 10+3 diploma approved by State Board of Technical Education with minimum 50% aggregate marks obtained in the final examination to be eligible for the above-mentioned program. A candidate appearing for the final examination of 10+2 grade or 10+3 Diploma program may also apply provided the results of the examination should have been declared by June of the admission year or prior to be eligible for the above mentioned program.

Symbiosis International University conducts Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) in order to offer admissions to aspirants in BDes programmes offered at Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). Earlier known as SET for Design, SEED conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU) for design course admissions evaluates candidates on spheres such as colour, geometry, visual observations, general design awareness, creative thinking abilities, awareness on Indian culture, craft, traditions and the likes. SID doesn't offer any short term / distance courses. The institute presently offers only full time Under- Graduate degree courses.
At the UG level, the institute offers a regular B.Des program, while a hybrid M.Des program is offered at the PG level.
Admission to both courses will be through the SEED 2026 entrance exam.
The M.Des program at SID will be delivered in a hybrid mode. Classes will be available in both online and offline modes. Also, classes will be weekends and evenings.
