    You should book a test slot at least two weeks before the application deadline. If you are already well-prepared for the test, we would advise you to take the GRE test six weeks before the application deadline, since it would allow you to retake the GRE, if needed. There is no definite time to apply for the GRE. However, keep in mind the university admission deadlines and your preparation before registering for the GRE. From an admission point of view, experts suggest that the right time to book your GRE slot would be two months before your first university admission deadline.     The best time for GRE Exam registeration depends on the admission deadlines and your preparations. Ideally, you should register for Graduate Record Examination at least two weeks before admission application deadline. Usually, ETS take 8 to 10 days to release the GRE score card. So, at the time of admission, you'll get results.
