Institute of Bioinformatics & Biotechnology (IBB), Savitribai Phule Pune University was established in 2002 at the Savitribai Phule Pune University under the University with Potential for Excellence (UPE) grant of University Grants Commission with Professor Dileep Deobagkar as the Founder Director. The focus of IBB is to promote high quality research and develop technically skilled human resource in the area of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology.
