The qualifying CAT cutoff of IIM Jammu is the minimum percentile that candidates must score to be eligible for an interview call for WAT/GD-PI, while the final CAT cutoff is the percentile that candidates must obtain to participate in the WAT/GD-PI round. The former is released with the admission criteria of the institute before the CAT exam while the latter is released after the declaration of CAT result. A few more differences between the two are tabulated below:

    Qualifying CAT cutoffs

    Final CAT cutoffs

Meeting the qualifying cutoff does not confirm that the student is selected for the WAT/GD-PI

Meeting the final CAT cut off does not confrim students' admission at the institute

The qualifying CAT cut off is fixed before the announcement of CAT result.

The final cut off is determined after the declaration of CAT result.

The qualifying CAT cut off percentiles are announced by every IIM in the notification of admission criteria and selection process for that academic year.

The final cutoff is not announced publicly and is only acessible to students who participated in the CAT exam.

RGIPT allows admission without CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/CUET-PG score under two circumstances. First, you should be a company-sponsored candidate. Second, if you belong to part time registration category. You will still have to fulfil the remaining eligibility criteria.

Candidates with a valid score of CAT/ GMAT/ GRE score are exempted from the written test. These candidates still need to complete the form by paying the application fees. However, these aspirants may get called for the IIM Trichy - Chennai campus PGPBM interview round.
