What is the dress code of an MBA student at LPU?

Every student at LPU is blessed to get exposure to a variety of Culture and Tradition that aids in the overall societal growth of students. The environment is rich not only in the level of learning but also demonstrates India's international relations with other nations. I did MBA from Lovely Professional University, and my experience at LPU was amazing, LPU is helping me grow professionally and personally with its career-oriented programs and support. However, as per academic professionalism, girls and boys both need to follow the dress code policy which has been introduced in our academic system. There is no restriction for Dresses. During Placement drives, internship drives, industrial visits, guest lectures, PEP classes, etc. And on any other formal occasion, both need to be in formals. You should be in formal. One should no wear bathroom slippers in the departments. You must be in a formal attire - formal shirt, pants, leather shoes, tie, and a leather belt (and a formal suit, if in winter!). One must be well groomed, too. (Clean Shaven or well trimmed facial hair for guys and neatly tied hair for girls. ) I remember, In my class there were 67 students from Africa and they used to wear shorts, jeans and all but being a student of Mittal School of Business, they followed dress code policy during seminars, professional enhancement classes, workshops etc. Girls or boys can wear anything they want. Plus you can keep any kind of hairstyle you wish. There is no rule for that in university. As it is situated in Punjab and students from Africa as well as the North-Eastern part of India also study at LPU so you can imagine the fashion trend that goes inside the campus. If you are into fashion and modeling you can pursue your career in that as well.

As far as I know, when I was a student there was no such dress code for MBA. Girls or boys can wear anything they want. Plus you can keep any kind of hairstyle you wish. There is no rule for that in university. As it is situated in Punjab and students from Africa as well as the North-Eastern part of India also study at LPU so you can imagine the fashion trend that goes inside the campus. If you are into fashion and modelling you can pursue your career in that as well. You will have both legal and moral support from the university, as most students fear the management and hence you would never experience CAT-calls or teasing for fear of getting expelled. In case you would like to explore new trends, DSA provides ample space for your modelling endeavours by supporting you both financially and morally. However, as per academic professionalism, girls and boys both need to follow the dress code policy which has been introduced in our academic system. There is no restriction for Dresses. There is no particular Uniform or Dress code for students of LPU for MBA. You can wear casuals or semi formal. Avoid wearing shorts, slippers, night wear casuals to the campus. You can wear anything in decent and casual clothes that looks sophisticated. However, there are some points you should follow on this campus: One should not wear bathroom slippers or flip flops in the department. Boys are supposed to wear Shoes on the campus even when they are wearing casuals, flip flops and slippers are not allowed, whereas girls have no restriction in wearing different types of footwear inside the campus On interviews and during the soft-skills classes : You must be in formal attire - a formal shirt, pants, leather shoes, a tie, and a leather belt. Hello There are no dress codes in LPU MBA you can wear anything you like to wear it should only be decent and that's all. Well, when the university is conducting a seminar and events it's a very strict rule that both male and female students must wear formals. Hi Sameeksha, I am a final year student of MBA in LPU. As per the dress policy, we have to wear decent formals in classes. Uniform is compulsory in placement drives and Placement Enhancement Classes. We are prepared for the placement drives through PEP classes, Personality Enhancement classes are the plus point of LPU. For us, it is compulsory to attend PEP classes, where we are trained in aptitude, reasoning, soft skills, interviewing skills, free preparation for government exams and more, right from the 2nd year till placements. When we consider dress code for a Business School, the term business school itself being considered as a university-level institution that confers degrees in business administration or management. According to Kaplan business schools are "educational institutions that specialize in teaching courses and programs related to business and/or management". Therefore Students in LPU are expected to adhere to a dress code while attending classes, the library, labs, Placements/ Interviews and other formal functions of the University. They should be well turned out at all times. Trousers and collared shirt; shoes and socks for boys, while for girls Alwar or churidhar with kameez / trousers with formal shirt and formal footwear.
