Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with a minimum percential score of 45 % for general category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC category as eligibility criterion for admission to B.Tech.Course at CMR Institute of Technology. Candidates must have also taken Physics, Mathematics and any of Chemistry Biology Biotechnology as their compulsory subjects. Further, they have to have written the Karnataka Common Entrance Test-KCET or the Joint Entrance Examination-JEE Main, preferably with a rank below 20,000 for General Candidates and below 50,000 for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
