The required eligibility criteria for IIT-JEE is:
Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October 1992 (for general and OBC candidate) are eligible to apply.
If candidates belong to reserved category like SC, ST and PwD category, then the date of birth falls on or after 1st October 1987
Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2017 must have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in order to apply.
Candidates who have passed 12th class or equivalent exam in 2015 or 2016 (not before 2015) are eligible to apply for this exam. -

No, JEE Mains scores are not compulsory for admissions to the BTech course at Sai University, because the university also takes other entrance exam scores into account to get students.
