What is the Induction programme at LPU?

Freshmen Induction is a three day programme that introduces the new students to the life at the University, the academic procedures, as well as the platforms and opportunities which are available to them during their time at LPU! So during these 3 days you will be introduced with the LPU culture, Visit to the different departments, facilities and environment that you will be needing throughout your time at LPU. Induction programme is actually a fun and interesting programme for freshers. 1st day you will be taken for free tour outside the college. You'd be accommodated in college buses and then your trip begins will sightseeing of the Jalandhar city. The other 2 days you'd be interacting with some of the faculty members, the Vice Chancellor and the Pro Chancellor. You will taken to auditoriums, department blocks and the fun part is that, there will be many number of games organized for the freshers to take part. There are numerous cultural events as well.

Under the LPU Freshmen Induction programme 2021, new students are introduced to life at the University, the academic procedures, as well as all the platforms. Starting new session for Batch 2021 in July/ August 2020. Completing 1st and 2nd semester for 2020 batch students on time in December 2020 and May 2021 respectively. Started Online classes: To ensure that the precious time of the students is not lost, LPU started with live online classes immediately after the announcement of lockdown in March 2020. Developing LPU MyClass, an in-house robust platform, in collaboration with some of the best tech companies for online teaching and evaluation. Live online classes, much like face-to-face classes whose effectiveness has already been well tested in the last two semesters wherein more than 1,00,000 hours of online sessions were conducted for LPU students across various academic programs. These classes will continue till physical classes are permitted by the government and we are certain that you will enjoy this experience, which has its own charm and advantages, to prepare you for the technology-dominated future. Continued our focus on holistic development of the students, conducted 1000+ cultural events, co-curricular activities community projects, Expert lectures, and Conferences in the Pandemic year. Witnessed one of the best placement sessions even in this Pandemic by securing 7000+ offers for jobs, internships, training, etc. For Batch 2021 also, LPU is fully equipped and prepared to start the session on time (July/ August 2021) with much more strong commitment and experience. I am a pass out from LPU and have profoundly utilized my time here in shaping my personality along with self-analysis. Unlike other universities, rules and regulations are quite strict here. From academics to extra-curricular activities, thorough support is given by our mentors/seniors, professors and management. Induction is conducted for Freshers so that they got a chance to mingle with new environment and get to know more about university culture and can make new friends from different field. Freshmen Induction is a three day programme that introduces you to the life at the university, the academic procedures, as well as all the platforms and opportunities that will be made available to you during your time here! It is a unique attempt made by the university to introduce the students with its management and various opportunities provided that contribute to the overall development of the students and providing them a platform to examine their potential and excel. Freshmen Induction programme will comprise of a tour of the 600-acre campus, learning about key landmarks, library, sports grounds, academic blocks and food kiosks. The freshmen will be introduced to various student clubs which they can choose to be a part of and also witness cultural showcase and performances by these clubs. All this will be accompanied with yoga sessions and a city tour of Jalandhar where the students can discover the best places to eat, shop, and more. Various effective and interactive ice-breaker activities and events are scheduled in sociable manner to let you avail the opportunities to gain a competitive edge and helping you surmount the day to day obstacles of a professional life. Students will also be given away prizes for winning many exciting games and activities.

LPUs Induction Programme, also known as Introductory Week is an exciting event organised by a team of professionals where freshers attend introductory sessions, explore the University and have the chance to socialize with their future classmates. Freshmen Induction is a three-day programme that introduces you to life at the university, the academic procedures, as well as all the platforms and opportunities that will be made available to you during your time here! It basically gives you the whole idea about how the university functions, the academic system, placements, departmental details. In this, you would get exposure to various extracurricular clubs or student organizations that you might wanna join in the future. Some basic rules and regulations to be followed in the university would be discussed. And of course, you would be entertained to make you feel better as if you are at home. I am an alumni of Lovely Professional University and have the knowledge about the Induction programme here. Induction at LPU is a three to four days process of interaction between freshers and faculty members, where you came to know about university rules, exam pattern, co- curricular activities throughout session, how the ums (university management system)works. It tells you how to start yourself from the beginning so that you do excel in your course as well as expose your talent. There are different activities which is made for your entertainment moreover to know your hidden talent if you have any. So you must participate in those events which you like it will make you popular in university. Activities are called freshers got talent which consists of Dance, singing, Modelling etc. There will be a university tour, city tour as well. Here you will get a chance to make new friends from different courses. So one should must go for induction it is a fresh start for freshers. Its fun to join. Later on there is no need to ask anyone regarding exams pattern, placement queries or whatever on your mind. A new student should attend the induction. Student induction is designed to help in the whole process. Purpose of the student induction programme is to help new students adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution, help them build bonds with other students and faculty members, and expose them to a sense of larger purpose and self-exploration. Last year 2020, due to pandemic situation, induction session has been organized in online mode for the benefit of the new students.
