What is the JEE Main rank to get a NIT or llt seat.

The cutoff for general category students is generally tipped to be between 80-89. It is ideal to score above this mark or rank under 15,000 to be on the safer side and increase possibilities of admission to a top institute of the country. As far as cutoffs of NITs are concerned, if you want admission in top 10 NITs, then your rank should be less than 20k I. e. 175 normalisation marks I. e. 175 marks in JEE Main and 93% in CBSE boards. Candidates who scored 99 percentile in 2019 got ranks around 8,740. You also need to check for other equally good universities giving the best academic excellence in the for of good faculty, infrastructure, live projects, seminars, exposure, platform, scholarships, placements etc. Universities like LPU not only have been awarded for the best placements in MNCs but has also come forward with covid scholarships in such grim situations to aid education. IIT or NIT cut off depends upon many factors like total number of candidates appeared, kind of exam and certain normalization. The cut off for general category is approximately 90 percentile means in order to get seat in top institutes your rank should be good. If at all you don't get a seat in older IITs and NITs, then it is better to come to LPU for the engineering programs. The admission criteria is either JEE Mains or LPU NEST if you have 60% or above in 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and English. There are certain scholarships too. You must visit the website for full detail. If per chance you fall in lesser scholarship slab on basis of JEE Mains, you can still write LPU NEST to improve it.

The cut off for general category is approximately 90 percentile means in order to get seat in top institutes your rank should be good. I wish you luck to get your dreams fulfilled for IITs and NITs but I will advice you yo be ready with Plan B for identifying other good Private engineering institutes because now-a-days private engineering instates like LPU are doing good in imparting quality education and henceforth placement. LPU is floating scholarship on MAT criteria like previous qualification, LPU NEST co-curricular/sports/defense etc. And LPU has also introduced COVID-19 scholarship to include the frontline workers in this pandemic. To fetch maximum scholarship, plan your admission before 31-5-2020.
