What is the MAT exam for?

Management Aptitude Test exam is conducted for admission to Master of Business Administration and Post Graduate Diploma in Management/Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) programs offered by over 800 Business-Schools in India. The Management Aptitude Test exam is conducted multiple times in four phases February, May, September, and December. Master of Business Administration is conducted by the All India Management Association. Applicants can appear for the Management Aptitude Test exam in any session at any number of times. The score of the latest attempt will be taken into consideration for Master of Business Administration admission. Management Aptitude Test exam is conducted offline (Paper Based Test or PBT), online (Computer Based Test or CBT), and remotely proctored (Internet Based Test or IBT) modes. Applicants can choose to appear in the Management Aptitude Test exam in any mode as per their preference. Management Aptitude Test MAT is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Government. Of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003.
