I really don't know about LPU, I know only about Chandigarh University, so I can tell you about it. The placement of CSE at university is really amazing.
The university got a record in the Limca Book for bringing the highest number of companies for placement in one year. I even read somewhere that they guarantee 100% placements with big companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Vistara, VMware, IBM, Mindtree, and Google.
