YCMOU offers a PhD program in environmental science. Admission is based on the PhD entrance test and a interview. Applicant must hold  a master degree in a relevant field with at least 55% marks.The PET comprises two online paper :The first assesses general aptitude and research skill, while the second focus on subject specific knowledge. Applicant with valid UGC- NET, UGC-CSIR NET, SLET, GATE or hold an M. Phil. are exempt from the PET.The PET is typically conducted in October. 

BA graduates of YCMOU are eligible for a variety of jobs in the government sector. Students must fulfil one of the following criteria to be eligible

• YCMOU pre admission course with minimum 40% marks and completed 21 years of age
• Class 12 or equivalent examination of Maharashtra or other state HSC Board
• Government-recognised Diploma of a minimum of two years after Class 10

The YCMOU BCom tuition fee is INR 11,684 for the entire course duration.
