Princeton does not have a minimum requirement for SAT. However, a score in the range of 1500-1580 should be enough, per an unofficial source. It also considers academics, curiosity, and leadership potential of a student.

Other requirements include LORs, SOPs, Essays and transcripts of past education.  Students have to submit their applications in advance to allow enough time for processing of documents.

Yes, submitting a valid ACT or SAT score will now become mandatory from the 2027-28 session. Students interested in Fall 2028 admissions, will have to submit either of the two scores. It was stopped during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the university has now decided to introduce this policy again.

The university, in its recent findings, discovered that students who did submit SAT or ACT scores, did much better in their studies on campus, than those who didn't.

The best date to take SAT is either in junior year or somewhere around spring intake. Planning exam around these dates in March, May and June has many benefits. If you don't score as per your requirement you can re-appear whenever you like.

Hi.

To plan for Spring 2026 intake, you need to take the SAT early enough so that your scores are released and reportable before university application deadlines (typically in late fall or early winter 2025–early 2026 for Spring intake). Scores usually take about 2–4 weeks to release after the test date.

Here are the official SAT test dates in the 2025-26 cycle from the College Board:

Yes, you are eligible to take SAT after high school. Even after your college graduation, you can appear for SAT exam. There are no restrictions on taking SAT after graduating from any type of institution. There is also no age bar for students as to when are they taking SAT. If you are interested, consider applying well in time before the actual registration date. Even if you come with accommodations, you will have to prove your disabilities. You will still be eligible to take SAT.
