What should I do after 12th to become a chef?

Hi, North India I would like to suggest you for LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY JALANDHAR PUNJAB. They offer versatility in their courses of hospitality and catering technology. According to me you should opt for a course Bachelors of hotel management and catering technology (BHMCT). Multi story word class kitchen infrastructure and lavishing hotel inside the campus for the daily practice of there students. Totally vegetarian restaurant where students practice to cook only a vegetarian cuisine. At LPU these courses are meant for students who are looking for specialised hospitality degree with global recognition that can lead to the leadership. Although, this year LPU has relaxed their eligibility where they have exempted the candidates from LPUNEST exam. Those who are willing to take admission in the university, can take a direct admission now without qualifying entrance exam conducted by the University still a candidate must have at least 50% aggregate marks in the 12th class and English must be studied as a subject. Best thing of the LPU is that they very good Industry Tie-ups which results in usual guest lectures by an Industry Experts. Students work on various Projects in collaboration with Industry. If you are studying at LPU placements are not at all a problem because they says "we provide 100% placements to those candidates who are eligible for aspiring for the placements". I have seen these queries a lot and understand that most of the people who want to be chef are actually seeing the careers abroad, preferably in Canada, USA, UK, Australia and Europe because CHEF is one category which has the highest chances of successful visa and jobs. If that's the case, You must apply for BHMCT programme at LPU and apply for credit transfer. It will give you exposure to all the aspects of hospitality and you can give emphasis on cooking ! Moreover the credit transfer option will give you international exposure and also valuable points in the immigration system grids of some countries. LPU offers this programme equipped with each and every hardware and software and trainings are delivered by top faculty. Hope this helps DVD.

According to me you should opt for a course Bachelors of hotel management and catering technology (BHMCT). Usually according to the norms of UGC this degree is of 4 years duration that means 8 semesters will be there. Now the question arises from where does degree should have to be pursue, although the choice is totally in your hands and you should compare will try to pursue this degree from any of the school of hospitality and management. You can proceed with a Bachelor in Hotel Management. Bachelor of Hotel Management is a 4-year undergraduate programme that is split into 8 semesters. All the best.

If you want to become a chef, Hotel management is the best course and is in demand these days. Choose a good private college and select your choice of subjects there, they will provide good placements too.
